National Opera Week 2012
Starting Friday, October 26 until Sunday, November 4, Opera America, the National Endowment for the Arts, and opera organizations across the United States will offer a variety of fun activities that are FREE to the public. Return in the summer for a listing of events CCOT will offer in 2012. In the meantime, check out the events CCOT offered in 2011 during National Opera Week:
"After Hour Arias" - November 3, 2011, 10pm
Giancarlo's Lounge, 1508 Spruce Street, PhiladelphiaDescription: The Ultimate Karaoke Experience! Learn classic drinking songs from our favorite operas, and sing along with members of CCOT's Young Artist Program.
"Opera 4-D" - November 4, 2011, 12pm
The Atrium at the Curtis Center, 601 Walnut Street, PhiladelphiaDescription: A 'pop-up' opera event performed by CCOT's Young Artists. This interactive event makes passersby a part of the opera experience.
"Season Preview" - November 6, 2011, 2pm

Description: This concert will sample arias, duets, ensembles, and choruses from operas on CCOT's upcoming production schedule, including excerpts from The Marriage of Figaro, La bohème, Il Postino and the newly-commissioned Slaying the Dragon.
