The ShopsTHE SHOPS
A new comic opera from the award-winning husband-and-wife team Edward Rushton and Dagny Gioulami. The Shops (2006) was commissioned by The Opera Group and the Bregenzer Festspiele and enjoyed its premiere on July 22, 2007 in Birmingham (UK). For program notes regarding the European premiere, click here. Our performance marks the North American premiere. Center City Opera Theater is pleased to annouce that the renowned Philadelphia-based Orchestra 2001chamber ensemble Orchestra 2001 will serve as the opera's orchestra.
